Fun Fact
Hammerhead sharks have very large heads, and their eyes are located far apart on each side. This helps them see more in the surrounding ocean while swimming.

Step 1: Draw side eye shapes to start your Hammerhead Shark Drawing
In order to draw a Hammerhead Shark, let’s begin the drawing by making two curved shapes on each side for the two ends of the hammerhead. One on the left and one on the right with some space between them. These shapes will become the side shapes of the shark’s wide head.
These two sides can have slightly different sizes, but try to make them similar in size. This step is quite small, but it plays an extremely important role in your Hammerhead Shark Drawing, because it gives your shark a specific hammerhead look from the beginning.

Step 2: Create hammerhead in your Hammerhead Shark Drawing
Connect these two side shapes with a curved line in between the upper part of the shapes and the other curved line below them. It makes a complete hammer shaped head of your shark. Then draw a small eye inside each rounded side shape.
This step gives your Hammerhead Shark Drawing a real look of a hammerhead shark, so draw its wide head carefully.

Step 3: Draw the body of the Hammerhead Shark Drawing
Drawing the front part of the body can be done by drawing a curved line going downwards starting from the lower middle portion of the shark’s head. The line should then continue curving towards the right to create the front belly and bottom part of the body of the hammerhead shark.
The curved line should flow smoothly in order for it to seem like the shark is swimming. Your Hammerhead Shark Drawing would now begin to look like an actual sea creature.

Step 4: Draw the back and tail of your Hammerhead Shark Drawing
For the next step, you can now add the back and tail of your hammerhead shark drawing. Draw the back of the shark from the right side of its head and curve it towards the end of the tail. You can complete the tail with two pointy tail fins.
Your hammerhead shark drawing is now beginning to take form!

Step 5: Finish up with Fins in your Hammerhead Shark Drawing
Now it is time for the fins. One should be drawn on the left side of the body and another on the upper right side. You may also draw an additional small fin if there is room for it in the lower part of your drawing. The fins will add to the active and harmonious appearance of the hammerhead shark.
This step completes your Hammerhead Shark Drawing since you have given it the whole body in the form it would normally have in the ocean. You can also add a line of smile close to the mouth of your shark to make it cute.

Step 6: Color the Belly of Your Hammerhead Shark Drawing
Use a light blue marker to color the front belly of the shark, which is the curved part of the inner body that goes from the bottom of the head to the end of the tail.
Using light blue will add more color and polish to your shark. It will also create a contrast between the belly and other parts of the body.

Step 7: Color the entire Hammerhead Shark Drawing
Color the entire body of the shark with the help of the same blue colored marker, leaving the eyes clean and clear. You can add some very small dots here and there on the body of the shark.
This is the most interesting step of all as now the Hammerhead Shark Drawing seems to come alive with its bright and bold colors and gives it a fun appearance with the combination of light blue and dark blue color.

Step 8: Add bubbles to the Hammerhead Shark Drawing
Draw some big and small bubbles by making some circles near the body of the shark with the help of pencil and then fill them up with the color blue.
This will give the entire drawing an under water look and makes the whole drawing appear alive and joyful.
