Learn How to Draw a Helicopter in 5 Simple Steps
Welcome budding artist! We have amazing news if you’re thinking that drawing a helicopter is difficult: our how to draw a helicopter guide makes it really simple. This flying vehicle is quite easy to draw, even for young children. You only need to complete a few steps, a few pencil strokes, and a splash of color.
Here are the 5 quick and simple steps to be followed to get an amazing outcome of helicopter drawing. Letβs get started!
Step 1: Sketch the Helicopterβs Body
To initiate the first step of our guide on how to draw a helicopter, we shall start drawing the body of the helicopter.Β To do this, sketch the body of the helicopter using a rounded boxy edges shape.
Step 2: Add a Window Over the Cockpit
A window above the cockpit may then be added when you have done the outline. The left side of the helicopter body will get this installation.
You are now prepared to go on to the next stage after the outline and window appear as they do in the reference image!
Step 3: Draw a Tail for the Helicopter
In the following sections, we will begin creating the other components of your helicopter sketch now that the primary shape is ready. For the moment, your helicopter will have a tail. Simply draw two lines from the helicopter’s rear using a ruler to do this.
The further they move apart, the more they should be angled to go closer to one another. Next, work on creating the tail’s termination by drawing a few additional straight, vertical lines.
Step 4: Draw Rotors and Landing Skids
At the very top of the helicopter, you may add a rectangular shape. Afterwards, you may top it off with a little circular part. Soon, the rotors will be dragged onto this section of the helicopter, which is referred to as the driving shaft.
Now, let us add rotors in this step of our guide in how to draw a helicopter. Above the driving shaft that we previously discussed will be the rotors. You may use some straight, slightly rounded lines to draw them, and they are rather easy to draw.
We’re going to add more to the helicopter’s bottom before moving on. As you might expect from the name, these structures are called landing skids, and their purpose is to make easier landings.
You may sketch some diagonal lines that descend from the helicopter using your ruler. In order to make the landing skids’ bottoms, you may then draw some straight horizontal lines.
If you refer to the reference image, you shouldn’t have encountered any difficulties, even if it sounds more hard than it is! Also, add a small window in the helicopter body, by drawing a tiny round shape.
Step 5: Finish Off Your Helicopter Drawing with Vibrant Colors!
You may add some amazing colors to your completed helicopter drawing now! As a helicopter may be found in a range of colors, feel free to pick whatever shades that you find attractive. In our example, we chose a range of orange.
Now, fill blue shade for cockpit glass and window. Then use grey shade for rotors, and black shade for landing skits. That brings us to the end of this guidelines on how to draw a helicopter!
With a little planning and preparation, we believe that this tutorial has helped you see how much simpler it can be to begin a new drawing. Above everything, we hope that working through how to draw a helicopter guide as you learnt was a lot of fun!
